About

BioWarmia Bioenergia i Biosurowce (3B) is small size entrepreneurship based in Poland. Employees of the company have large experience and knowledge in non-edible and edible crops production for industrial and energy purposes, logistic chains, delivery and storage of biomass and in bioresources utilisation.
We provide services associated with energy efficiency, economic and environmental (life cycle assessment) analysis in bioproducts manufacturing. Moreover, 3B provides extension and dissemination services through trainings, workshops, conferences and publications as well.

Senior researcher

Place of work: Olsztyn, Poland

Region: warmińsko-mazurskie

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities at this position are:

  • planning and supervision of field experiments,
  • performing biometric measurements of plants,
  • field data analysis,
  • carrying out analyzes of economic and energy efficiency,
  • performing a life cycle assessment,
  • preparation of reports,
  • running training and workshops on plant production, economic and energy efficiency,
  • contacting with business partners.

 

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in agricultural sciences, discipline of agronomy (preferred specialty in alternative, energy or industrial crops),
  • at least 10 years experience in planning and carrying out research works in the field of plant production and economic and energy analyzes,
  • at least 5 years of experience in running and executing research projects, especially in the fields of energy and industrial plants,
  • very good knowledge of MS Office tools,
  • interpersonal skills, activity, dynamism, ability to organize work independently,
  • negotiation skills,
  • willingness to frequent business trips,
  • driving license,
  • very good knowledge of Polish.
  • good knowledge of English in speaking and writing.

MAGIC is  4-year project aims at promoting the sustainable development of resource-efficient and economically profitable industrial crops grown on marginal lands, considering that industrial crops can provide valuable resources for high added value products and bioenergy.

To achieve the project objective, an up-to-date database of existing resource-efficient industrial crops will be developed with information on their agronomic characteristics, input requirements, yield performance and quality traits for end-use applications.
